After competing in a partial Truck campaign, Natalie Decker announced that she will make her NASCAR Xfinity debut with RSS Racing by Reaume Brothers Racing, as she continues to climb the NASCAR ladder.
After a partial season in the NASCAR Trucks series in 2020 - which started with a top-5 finish at the season opener at Daytona - 23-year old driver Natalie Decker announced that she will join RSS Racing in the #23 Chevy Camaro for five races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series - with the hope of adding more to the schedule.
The RSS operation will again be managed by Reaume Brothers Racing and, thanks to the new partnership with Red Street Records, Natalie will have the chance to make her Xfinity debut at the Daytona Road Course.
Red Street Records, founded by Jay DeMarcus is the first ever Christian music label to sponsor a NASCAR driver.
“First, I have to say thank you, thank you to all my fans that support me and show me so much love! I love you all!" - said Natalie at the project launch.
"Thank you to Todd DiBenedetto for connecting Natalie Decker LLC and Red Street Records. Thank you, Red Street Records, for believing in me and wanting to be part of this Journey with me. Thank you, RSS, and RBR for the warm welcome into the team. Thank you to Bigfoot Philly Cheesesteaks Beef Jerky for supporting my career and I am excited for our new partnership".
As unveiled this week, 2-time GRAMMY winner musician Jason Crabb - a red Street Records artist - will feature on Decker's car for the opening round.
"Our first race is the Daytona Road Course, and I could not be any happier, we have Jason Crabb and his new single on the hood of the car. This song is so meaningful to me and the inspiration I get from Jason when I hear this song is unbelievable! I’m excited for this journey and I’m so happy I finally get to share it with all of you!", added Decker.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Team Decker. Natalie is on the cutting edge of the racing industry; her meteoric rise continues to amazing and unprecedented. She is the next generation. We here at Red Street view our journey in much the same way: innovation, and “outside the box” thinking, have set us apart, in the same way that Natalie has been set apart as one of NASCAR’s youngest female drivers in history. That makes Team Decker and Red Street Records the perfect combination” – commented Jay DeMarcus, founder of the record label.
Decker rose to international fame when she claimed pole for the 2018 ARCA Menards Daytona race for Venturini Motorsports. Coming from a racing family with deep roots in snowmobile racing, Natalie has since then made big progresses in the ARCA series, where she has scored twelve top-10 finishes since her debut in 2017 and, more recently, in the NASCAR Trucks series. Despite a season hindered by some health issues, Decker became the top female finishers in the history of the series in 2020, with her fifth place at Daytona.
The Xfinity Series, NASCAR's top stepping stone and proving ground for drivers targeting the Cup level, will be a big but natural step up for Decker, who will be able to rely on the team's 2020 positive streak of results: the #93 RSS Racing scored three top-10 finishes in its first season of partnership with Reaume Brothers Racing and the outfit, which is also fielding two cars in the Truck series, is looking forward to carry momentum with Natalie Decker behind the wheel.
“As a team we have been able to help a lot of drivers make their debut into the NASCAR trucks Series, and now we have the ability to do that with the NASCAR Xfinity Series." - said team owner Josh Reaume.
"Having Natalie make her Xfinity debut at the Daytona Road Course is another exciting step for this team and the direction we are heading. We had some strong runs with Myatt Snider at the road courses last year and we are confident Natalie will do a great job at the Daytona road course to kick off the 2021 season.”
