The fourth round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Scandinavia at Jyllandsringen, Denmark, once again featured a double female podium, as Emma Wigroth and Lærke Rønn both stood on the rostrum—Wigroth with a third place in Race 1 and Rønn with second in Race 2.

For Wigroth, it was her second podium of the season, following her strong performance at the season opener at Scandinavian Raceway, where she had finished second in a female 1–2 finish.

Rønn—competing in her first season of GT racing after stepping up from single-seaters—has so far enjoyed an extraordinary campaign in the Porsche one-make series, securing five podiums in six races.

The series' female participation has been remarkable since the first race, when Alexia Danielsson, making a one-off appearance from Nordic4, claimed victory on her debut—just ahead of Rønn in Race 1. In Race 2, Rønn took the win ahead of Wigroth, making it a historic weekend for women in the series.

Rønn won again at Drivecenter Arena in the second round, followed by a third-place finish in Race 2, while Wigroth endured a more difficult outing, collecting a pair of sixth-place results.

Heading into the third round at Jyllandsringen, Wigroth aimed to bounce back from her recent misfortunes.

In the first official practice, Conrad Tox Leveau topped the timesheets, with Pedersen Racing teammates Lærke Rønn and Kasper Soholm in second and third. Emma Wigroth was fifth fastest in the opening session. A similar outcome followed in second practice, where Rønn again finished second—this time significantly closer to the top, just a tenth behind with a 1:10.581 lap. Wigroth also improved to a 1:10.866, placing fourth.

In qualifying on Saturday, Rønn delivered an impressive 1:09.347, just two tenths off pole, which went to Tox Leveau. Wigroth was extremely unlucky—suffering technical issues that left her without a working paddle shift or power steering. Despite the setbacks, she impressively secured P5 with a 1:10.490 lap, behind the four Danish drivers on their home soil.

The 18-minute Race 1 went green with Rønn and Rasmus Vendelbo battling hard into Turn 1 and swapping positions. Emma Wigroth had a strong start from fifth, passing Soholm and slotting into fourth, aiming to capitalize on the fight for second just ahead.

Rønn made another bold move on Lap 2, but contact during a switchback sent her #32 Porsche Cayman into the grass—promoting Wigroth to third, as she was quick to seize the opportunity.

Once in third, Wigroth immediately picked up the pace, closing in on Vendelbo and putting pressure on him, while Soholm also tried to join the podium battle. Meanwhile, Tox Leveau remained unchallenged out front and had pulled away with a 7-second lead. Rønn, now down in P11, began her recovery and soon passed Ricknäs for P10, then Andemark, and set her sights on Klaus Hansen.

Wigroth kept up the attack, improving lap after lap—setting a 1:11.8, then a 1:11.2—closing the gap to Vendelbo with less than 10 minutes to go.

Despite her consistent pace, Vendelbo didn’t make any mistakes, and Wigroth had to settle for third—securing another well-earned podium in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Scandinavia.

On the final lap, Rønn passed Hansen to claim P8—her first non-podium finish of the season, but a determined recovery drive nonetheless.

In the afternoon’s Race 2, Wigroth once again started from fifth and looked to replicate her earlier performance. Rønn, starting again from the front row in P2 alongside her teammate Tox Leveau, was eager to bounce back.

At lights out, Emma took the inside line but got boxed in and lost a place to Johansson, while Vendelbo jumped from fourth to second and immediately put pressure on Tox Leveau. Rønn had a tricky launch from the front row, and dropped several positions—fighting for fifth into Turn 1—but quickly recovered and made a decisive move for fourth shortly after.

After Lap 1, Tox Leveau led Vendelbo and Soholm, with Rønn in fourth and Johansson and Wigroth trailing close behind.

Wigroth launched an attack on Johansson, lapping several tenths quicker and staying glued to his bumper. However, the prolonged duel cost her valuable time as the top four pulled away.

Rønn passed Soholm with 13 minutes to go and immediately pulled a gap—but now had a 5-second deficit to close to the leading duo.

Up front, Tox Leveau again controlled the race, while Vendelbo held onto second. Rønn kept pushing and closed the gap steadily. Wigroth spent the race stuck behind Johansson, trying everything to find a way past. On Lap 15, she set her personal best with a 1:11.641, but ultimately had to settle for P6—in still a valuable result to add to her Race 1 podium.

With just a minute left in the race, Rønn made a spectacular late move to overtake Vendelbo for second place, completing another sensational comeback drive. It was her fifth podium in six races, solidifying her lead in the championship.

Rønn in fact now tops the standings with 119 points, 23 ahead of Rasmus Vendelbo. After three rounds, Wigroth sits fourth in the standings.

Next up is Round 4 at Gelleråsen Arena, Karlskoga, on 15–16 August.
