Reema Juffali stays with Double-R for second British F4 campaign

Saudi racer Reema Juffali announced she will remain with Double R for her second season in the British F4 championship.

Reema Juffali will return to the British-based Formula 4 championship in 2020, racing for Double R Racing/Argenti Motorsport for the second consecutive year.

Juffali, the first driver from Saudi Arabia to compete in motorsport internationally, entered the competitive series last year, making her single seater debut. Despite the steep learning curve, Reema built on the experience and became a constant presence in the top-10 by the end of the season. Her best results include two 8th place finishes at Thruxton and Knockhill.

Juffali made history last December when she was entered as a guest driver in the Jaguar iPace eTrophy round at Diriyah and became the first Saudi woman to compete within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 28-years old continued to extend her formula cars experience this winter, as she entered the F4 UAE championship. Juffali, one of the four women to have taken part in at least one race in the Emirati series, currently sits 8th in the driver's standings, having completed six out of seven races in the top ten. With three P6 finishes and one 5th place in Dubai, Juffali has so far scored her best Formula 4 results in the winter series and will look forward to carry the momentum into her sophomore British F4 campaign.

Her experience of the Mygale F4 car powered by Ford will likely result in a promising season for the young Saudi woman: “I’m happy to be back with the team at Double R and Argenti."

“This year I‘m coming in with more experience, and I am looking forward to picking up where we left off. I’m excited to get back on track and put into practice all I’ve learnt since my debut a year ago.” - she commented.

“We are delighted to have Reema back for 2020,” - added Michael Meadows, team manager of the Double R by Argenti operation. “Last year she was able to learn a lot so we are looking forward to her continuing that development."

“We will give her all the help we can and make sure she has all the information and the right environment to perform to her maximum.”

So far, Juffali is the only driver confirmed by the reigning champion team Double R, while other nine drivers have been signed for the 2020 championship.

British F4 Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost will once again feature on the BTCC supporting schedule, with a rich 10-events calendar starting from the opening round at Donington Park on 28/29 March and concluding at Brands Hatch, Kent, on 11/10 October.
