After a first successful season, mainly racing in Sweden and Germany, NXT Gen Cup will go fully international in 2024: as the world´s first full electric junior touring car cup, the series will join DTM and Formula E's package in Europe from Misano to Berlin to Monaco.

The series was born in Sweden last year and, in its first campaign, also held its first international races in Oschersleben and Nürburgring last season as support of DTM - and will be back in support of the popular German GT3 series for two weekends again this year, at Norisring and Hockenheimring.

The biggest step this year is arguably its partnership with Formula E, where the electric championships will join forces for four events in Misano, Monaco, Berlin and London.

Siri Hökfelt will return to the grid in 2024, thus joining fellow female driver Sita Vanmeert who was previously announced for the upcoming season. Siri made a name for herself in Sweden, coming second in the Sydsvenskan Kart Champion Cup in 2019. She already competed in Renault Junior Cup Sweden and the Aquila Formula 1000 after she made her racing debut in 2020. She joined NXT Gen Cup last year and made promising progress over the year, where she often battled close to the top 10 in her first season at such a professional level.

"It feels great to be back! I feel ready to translate all my learnings from last year to challenge for the top ten this season", Hökfelt stated.

The young Swede finished the season as the best-placed female driver overall in 2023, with a P15 in the championship standings. "The NXT Gen Cup really made me see what a professional driver gets to do and I have decided this is what I want to do and I’m ready to work for it", she told us at the end of last year.

In pre-season testing at Misano last week she made also a huge step forward, showing promising pace for the upcoming season, as the first event will also take place at the Italian track, from the 13th to 14th April.

"Misano was amazing to drive and we had two productive days to get back into front-wheel drive again as I've raced a lot of karting during the winter", Hökfelt said. "I'm humble ahead of the 2024 season as there will be a lot of new and amazing international tracks. But it's a challenge I'm really looking forward to and that definitely will be a great next step for my career."
