Jamie Chadwick lead both free practice sessions of the historical opening round of WSeries.

We are literally one day away from witnessing the first historic round of WSeries at Hockenheim, Germany.
The 20 drivers (18 selected drivers plus the two reserves Keszthelyi and Bovy) went on track
on their new Tatuus T-318 F3 cars on mixed weather conditions, as rain started to fall down in the afternoon session.
Despite uncertain weather, lap charts from both sessions were incredibly close, especially in the midfield, which certainly looks promising for the season ahead.
Nonetheless, the top three positions remained unchanged: highly-rated British Jamie Chadwick lead the pace dominantly throughout the day, 7 tenth clear of second placed Emma Kimilainen.
Ferrari Challenge champion Fabienne Wohlwend locked the third place, while former World Series by Renault driver Beitske Visser was 4th fastest.
Alice Powell returns to formula racing with a solid 5th time, having been in the mix for top place in both sessions. Strong run for Naomi Schiff in the dry session, placing her #99 car in fourth place.
Former GP3 driver Vicky Piria improved in the second session and ended up with the 8th fastest time in wet conditions.
Red flags were briefly brought out by spins by Tasmin Pepper and Jessica Hawkins.
Qualifying session will get underway at 11:55 local time.
In Jamie's words:
“Great to kick off the weekend fastest in the two practice sessions today 🙌🏻 All to play for when it counts tomorrow 💪🏻”
