Fortec Motorsports has announced that American teenager Jordyn Martin will join the team for the 2026 season, marking her debut in the GB4 Championship and her first full campaign in British single-seater racing.

“This is a huge step in my career and I’m incredibly proud to be joining Fortec for my first season in GB4", said Martin, who is eager to begin the next chapter of her career in British racing. "The car already feels amazing to drive, and the team has been fantastic in helping me adapt and learn quickly. I can’t wait to get started at Silverstone and show what we can do.”

The 15-year-old from South Florida brings an unusually diverse background into her move to Europe. Martin began racing in motocross at just eight years old before transitioning to four wheels, where she progressed through dirt ovals, bandoleros and into karting, competing in the KA100 Junior class. Her early years saw her succeding in the Junior Sportsman 2 Track Championship at Hobe Sound in 2022, followed by a runner-up finish in the Callahan Winter Dirt Series and two podiums in bandoleros in 2023.

Her development accelerated further in 2024, when she finished inside the top ten of the Homestead Club Road Course Championship and then stepped up into KA100 Juniors. In the AMR series in 2025, Martin has been a front-runner, scoring multiple victories, pole positions and podium finishes, while earning praise for her clean but decisive racecraft.

Alongside her American campaign, Martin has already begun building international experience. She has raced in the United Kingdom at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorchester and has completed her first outings in single-seaters. On debut in the South East Formula Series in the USA, she finished second, before contesting a round of the Ligier Junior Formula Championship, where she secured a top-ten result.

Martin has since carried out initial testing in the Tatuus MSV-025 car with Fortec Motorsports and is set to tackle a full pre-season testing programme ahead of her first GB4 campaign.

Fortec team principal Oliver Dutton believes Martin has the attributes to make a strong impression in her rookie year.

“Jordyn has shown raw pace and a willingness to learn, which are exactly the qualities we want to develop in GB4. Her background across both dirt and circuit racing has given her a strong foundation, and with a full testing programme we believe she can make a real impact during her first competitive season in single-seaters.”
