Luna Fluxá has confirmed that she will step up to single-seaters with Campos Racing in the 2026 Spanish Formula 4 Championship, the team announced today. The 15-year-old joins the Valencia-based outfit as part of the Mercedes-AMG Junior Programme, further strengthening a lineup that now includes one of the most highly rated young prospects in world karting.

Fluxá arrives in fact with an exceptional karting résumé. In 2024, she made history by becoming the inaugural Senior-class champion in the Champions of the Future Academy Program (COTFA), the flagship RGMMC-promoted series, securing six victories across the season. Her title marked a historic achievement: she became the first female driver since 1966 to win an FIA International championship, following in the footsteps of Susanna Raganelli, who claimed the Karting World Championship that year.

A member of both the Mercedes Junior Programme and the Iron Dames family, Fluxá dominated the early stages of the 2024 campaign, winning five of the first six races. She returned to victory at the final round at Al Forsan in Abu Dhabi, sealing the championship with one race remaining in a field featuring more than 45 elite international competitors.

Fluxá began karting in 2017 and has competed across Europe since 2019, rapidly ascending through Spanish and international categories. Her first steps included participation in the Spanish federation’s ‘mujer y motor’ initiative, aimed at increasing female participation in motorsport. She progressed through prestigious series such as WSK and the IAME Euro Series in 60 Mini before moving up to OK Junior in 2022.

After a promising first season at junior level, she continued to develop through 2023, advancing to the OK class in 2024. Across both the FIA World and European Championships, Fluxá consistently battled within the top ten — performances that earned her selection for the F1 Academy “Discover Your Drive” programme and an entry into both Champions of the Future and the Champions of the Future Academy, where she ultimately clinched the title.

Throughout 2025, Fluxá continued to compete at the highest level of international karting, entering the World Karting Championship, European Championship, WSK Super Masters and Champions of the Future series, all while preparing for her long-anticipated transition to formula cars.

Regarded as one of the brightest emerging talents of her generation, Fluxá will graduate to single-seaters in 2026 with Campos Racing, marking the next major step in her career.

“I am very happy and excited to announce that in 2026 I will be racing in Spanish Formula 4 with Campos Racing, with the incredible support of the Mercedes Junior Program. It is a dream come true and a very important step in my career. I can’t wait to start this new adventure with such an incredible team,” Fluxá said.
