Marta García will join UNX Racing for the Endurance rounds in GT World Challenge Europe in the #888 Porsche, marking another key learning opportunity in her promising GT3 debut season.

Marta García is set to join the grid of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, as she teams up with UNX Racing for the Endurance rounds in the highly competitive series. The 24-year-old Spaniard will share the #888 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Bronze Cup category, lining up alongside Mathieu Detry and Fabian Duffieux.
The appearance marks a significant opportunity for García, as GT World Challenge Europe represents one of the world’s premier GT3 championships. Her entry comes with UNX Racing – a new addition to the 2025 grid – which competes in the Sprint Cup rounds with Detry and Duffieux under a partnership with Dinamic GT. For the Endurance round, the team has expanded to include Iron Dame Marta García.
García is currently making her full-season debut in GT3 competitions following a highly successful single-seater career. After winning the inaugural F1 Academy championship in 2023, she stepped up to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine in 2024, while also entering the world of sports car racing with the Iron Dames in the Ligier European Series. She made an immediate impression in sportscars, scoring victory in only her second start at Spa-Francorchamps, and returning to the top step of the podium in Portimão later in the year.
Her performances in the Ligier series earned her a promotion to GT3 machinery in 2025, as she joined the Michelin Le Mans Cup. Competing under the Iron Dames banner, García shares a Porsche 911 GT3 R with Belgian racer Vanina Ickx, in a program run by Proton Huber Competition.
Their campaign began with drama at the season opener in Barcelona, where García was running in the lead before being hit by another competitor. The impact, measured at 22G, sent the #83 Porsche into the barriers and triggered a fire. García was extracted by marshals and transported to hospital for precautionary checks, but was later cleared of serious injuries.
Despite the early setback, the team returned to action at Circuit Paul Ricard with a fully rebuilt car. After early contact and a resulting penalty for her teammate, García delivered a resilient performance to bring the car home in fourth place – her first race finish in GT3, achieved while nursing a damaged car to the line.
At Le Mans, the flagship event of the season, further misfortune struck when Ickx was unable to drive due to a medical issue, forcing the team to withdraw the entry.
While the Michelin Le Mans Cup campaign has been marred by bad luck so far, García has continued to show remarkable promise in her early outings in GT3. Her participation in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup is therefore set to offer valuable experience against a top-tier international field, and represents another important step in her development as a sports car driver.
